Do the Challenges Ever Stop?
Apr 30, 2019
Discovering the principles for the first time is absolutely thrilling—and when you see them work intentionally, it’s electrifying.
That first win gives you a boost of confidence. You feel empowered to think bigger, to push the principles further, and to apply them to bigger dreams and goals.
But then a setback hits, and you might find yourself thinking:
“What just happened here? I thought if I just live the principles perfectly, the rest of my life would be easy!”
I have an answer to that—and I hope it doesn’t pop anyone’s bubble too much—but here it is: we were placed on this earth to grow.
All living things are meant to expand and evolve. In fact, growth is one of the main ways we even define life: does it grow?
So if we’re here to grow, then it only makes sense that challenges would be part of the plan. Challenges stretch us beyond what we thought we could do. They push us to use our mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical muscles—and that kind of effort is what leads to the deepest, most lasting kind of joy. Few things feel better than facing something hard... and overcoming it.
The truth is, if we ever found ourselves without any challenges at all, we’d probably grow bored, restless, and eventually unhappy.
Think back to your childhood. Remember when your mom tried to teach you to tie your shoes?
Did you nail it on the first try? Probably not. It was frustrating, maybe even tear-inducing. In that moment, it felt like the hardest thing in the world. You might’ve wanted to give up and throw your shoes across the room. But eventually, you mastered it—and now you do it without even thinking.
Sixth Grade
Then came sixth grade and your first “big” school project. A book report, maybe, that had to be four pages long and took weeks to complete. At the time, that felt huge. But after a few more assignments like it, you figured it out. What once took weeks now takes hours.
Fast forward to college.
Now you’re pulling all-nighters, sacrificing your social life, and pouring hours into final projects that determine your grade. The pressure was immense. Maybe there were tears. Maybe there were desperate pleas to your professor. It was intense—but you grew.
Then came adult life.
You entered the workforce. Now there were deadlines, bills, responsibilities. You thought you had it hard—until…
You got married.
Suddenly, it wasn’t just work and bills. Now you had a partner, and with that came new challenges, new emotions, new levels of personal growth. Just when you thought things couldn’t get more complex...
You had kids.
Is there any way to describe how complicated things became after that?
And yet—if you look back, the things that once seemed impossible now seem... pretty simple in comparison.
That shoelace struggle? Child’s play.
But back then, it felt just as overwhelming as today’s challenges feel now.
That’s the beautiful thing about growth: what feels huge today eventually becomes second nature. You rise to meet it, and then you're ready for more.
My books and programs are simply tools to help you meet the challenges you’re facing right now. Will challenges ever stop coming? No. But the more prepared you are, the more equipped you become—not just to survive, but to thrive.
It’s true: life seems to get more challenging.
But hold on—
That doesn’t mean it gets worse. And it doesn’t have to feel harder. What it means is that life delivers increasingly ADVANCED challenges—because you are advancing.
When you learn and live the principles, and make them part of who you are, you handle things with more grace and confidence. Sure, the next challenge might seem overwhelming—but only in comparison to what you’ve conquered so far.
Challenges matter because they help us build confidence.
Imagine a child who never gained confidence in something small. Now imagine placing that child in charge of a massive organization. They wouldn’t stand a chance. The journey is designed to grow us—step by step—into the person capable of receiving all that God has in store.
And that includes prosperity.
You can get good at finances. You can attract wealth. Prosperity is a skill. Just like you learned to tie your shoes, you can learn how to live in greater abundance. And the more you practice, the more it becomes a strength.
So if a new challenge appears, don’t let it discourage you.
It’s not a sign that you’ve failed—it’s a sign that you’ve grown. It’s God saying, “You’re ready for the next level.” It's evidence that He has faith in you.
I once heard someone say:
“When you are down to nothing, God is up to something.”
There’s real joy in the struggle. That’s where peace can be found—right in the middle of the whirlwind. And when you find peace there, that’s true success. That’s when prosperity begins to flow with ease.
Seek peace and prosperity comes.
Seek prosperity and peace flees.
