As I’ve been learning about the Laws of Attraction and applying them to my life, I notice a pattern: at first, I feel amazing about what I’m accomplishing. There’s a kind of high, an excitement and energy that carries me forward. But eventually, that high levels out—it becomes my new normal. When that happens, I find myself searching for something more refined, something deeper or more elevated to reach for so I can feel that sense of growth and joy again.
Sometimes that means setting a new goal. Other times, it happens naturally—because when we practice and improve at something, we discover a higher level of mastery. And that feels good.

One of the first times I can remember living this law—though I didn’t know I was doing it at the time—was when I showed horses as a teenager. At first, I just entered the shows for the fun of it. I wasn’t focused on winning. Competing was never about “beating” someone else—it was about the experience itself: the travel, the horses, the sunshine, the people, the learning. That was enough for me.

But over time, I started to accumulate ribbons. And when I got my first First Place, the “high” didn’t even hit me until the next day! Maybe because the show experience had already filled me up—it was like the ribbon was dessert after a feast.
Eventually, at my very last show, my mare and I won Grand Champion. A purple ribbon. A trophy. And then… everything changed.
My parents divorced. I moved 150 miles away from the man who had made it all possible—who gave me the horses and took me to the shows. And then Flicka, my beloved mare, nearly died from Equine Encephalitis. My vet saved her, but she was too weak to show again, even at the County Fair. That last show really was our last.

I went on to finish high school, get married, and start a family. I never returned to showing. By the time I moved back, the riding club was gone. The arena and stables had been replaced by a junior college. I never found the old members again. So, my horse life took a different turn.
The “highs” became new kinds of highs: taking my little boy on pony rides, teaching him to ride, training a foal together, and then eventually riding side by side on our own horses.

Life keeps offering new experiences. We can either drift with it, letting it happen to us, or we can choose to shape it—consciously. If I had known about the Laws of Attraction back then, I think I would have set more goals, dreamed more intentionally, and actively created more of what I wanted instead of just adjusting to what came.

But here’s where my real learning began:
Today is the first day of the rest of my life.
My rhythm—my direction—is in my hands now. I set goals. I visualize. I act as I feel inspired. And I watch those goals come true.

My biggest goal right now is to teach the Law of Attraction and to mentor others through the process until they get it. I search for people who are ready—who want more for themselves. I begin by helping them change the way they think. I support them, encourage them, and guide them as they grow into their highest selves and into true prosperity.
And this work brings me a joy that’s already unfolding in small ways. I know it will only continue to grow.

I hope to help as many people as my mentor, Leslie Householder, has helped—and to do it with the same heart and impact she had on me. I want to see people’s minds open to new possibilities—possibilities they never knew were all around them.

In his book DUNE, Frank Herbert wrote something about the senses we lack that keep us from seeing and hearing a whole other world around us.
Maybe one of those missing senses is the ability to perceive our own purpose.

And I believe that my purpose is this:
To learn the Laws of Attraction—and then help others find their world.
