Hidden Treasures became a national bestseller last week!

I only discovered this by chance... and I might have been the only one to notice. Here’s the strange story:

So, my goal this summer was to finish creating the extensive Family Time & Money Freedom home study course (now called Mindset Mastery, as featured on our Prosper The Family site) before school started. Since I’d be homeschooling three of our children, I knew the time I could dedicate to it would be greatly reduced. (The home-study course is designed as an affordable, more convenient alternative to our $15,000 3-day seminar.) With summer quickly coming to a close, my husband suggested, “Leslie, go check into a hotel for the next two days and see how much you can get done.” So, I did.

Just me, my laptop, a pile of materials, and virtually NO distractions for nearly 48 hours.

It was like getting a month’s worth of work done in a flash. I missed my kids and it was tough to leave, but two uninterrupted days were definitely better than waiting another month into the school year.

Around 1:00 am, I decided to take a break and check in on Amazon to see how The Jackrabbit Factor was doing. During our launch two years ago, it ranked #5 on BarnesAndNoble.com, but on Amazon, the best it ever did was #116 out of over 4 or 5 million books.

No, I’m not about to tell you it beat its own Amazon record. In fact, when I checked, it was somewhere around #50,000 (which is still in the top 1%, so no complaints there).

But what really shocked me was seeing that Hidden Treasures had become a national bestseller at #74 in the Money and Values category.

I didn’t expect to see that... and I’m so glad I was nudged to check! I might have never known otherwise. Over the next few days, I kept an eye on it, and it eventually climbed to #35. 

For the past two years, I’ve been promoting The Jackrabbit Factor as our flagship product, aiming to appeal to the widest audience. And here’s Hidden Treasures, becoming an Amazon bestseller without any campaigning from me.

As one reader put it:

I still recommend reading Jackrabbit Factor first, but for those who want more in-depth explanations of how it all works, Hidden Treasures really fills in the blanks.

An interesting update about Hidden Treasures...

We finished the audio of the book a couple of months ago, and as I was reading it in the studio, I realized that several parts needed some updating. I’ve learned a lot since it was first published in 2005, and I added that new insight to the audio. But then I thought, the paperback should reflect those changes too... so I updated the book as well.

By the way, if you want the updated version of the paperback, it’s NOT available in stores until the old stock runs out, but it IS available right now at our online bookstore.
