Holding the Thought!

There have been so many times in my life when I’ve gotten a spark—an exciting new idea that lit me up inside. I’d feel inspired, energized, ready to move! But then, the moment I’d go to take a step toward it… I’d stop. It felt too big. Too hard. Too scary. Or like it would just take way too long.
And just like that—poof!—the idea would vanish. Gone, like a little white cloud drifting out of reach. Why? Because I didn’t hold onto it long enough. I doubted. I feared. I let it float away before it ever had a chance to become something real.
Has that ever happened to you?
It used to happen to me all the time—until I learned about the Law of Perpetual Transmutation. This principle taught me something powerful: once an idea is formed, it needs to be held—nurtured—long enough for it to begin taking shape. That’s when I realized: my ideas weren’t silly or impossible. They weren’t too far-fetched. They just needed to be carried long enough to be born. There was a formula. And if I followed it, I could bring my ideas to life.
So, I decided to put it to the test.
I created something I called “The 3-Day Mindset Transformation.” A Facebook event. The plan? Post a video, share an action item, and then host a one-hour class each evening. I loved the idea. I got so excited about it.
And then… the doubt came flooding in.
"Who do you think you are to teach something like this?"
"You don’t know enough to really help anyone."
"No one’s going to come. You don’t even know enough people."
"How are you going to find the time? You have five kids!"
"Do you really think you can make a difference?"
Whew. The negativity was relentless. But I made a different choice this time.
I chose to stay with it.
I chose to push back against the voices in my head.
I chose to believe that even if just one life was touched—just one—that would still be more than before. And it would be worth it.
As I moved forward, those voices didn’t magically disappear—I still had to fight them. There was even a moment when I almost gave up. But I didn’t. I held onto the vision. I reminded myself that what I had to say mattered. That it could really help someone.
So I kept going. I worked hard to shape the content around what had brought the most value to my life. It took a lot of time, energy, and brainpower—but I finished it. The class was ready.
And when I began inviting people to attend… more than just a few said yes. In fact, I had more people than I ever expected! I got to teach. I got to coach. And I watched transformation unfold right before my eyes. It was powerful. It was beautiful. And I’ll always be grateful I held onto that idea and saw it through—no matter how loud the doubt got.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
When you hold onto an inspired idea long enough, and nurture it faithfully, it will take form.
So don’t give up.
Not on your dreams.
Not on your ideas.
Not on what you feel called to create.
They’re meant to bring good into your life—and into the lives of others.
