Profound Gratitude does What?

The Law of Vibration teaches that not only is everything in a constant state of motion, but that vibration itself is the medium through which energy and signals are transferred. Nothing rests—everything vibrates.
Physics confirms this truth. Every object, every person, every molecule is in continual motion. The faster something vibrates, the more fluid and dynamic it becomes. And because our thoughts are made of energy and matter, they too are always vibrating.
What’s truly amazing is that our conscious awareness of those vibrations is what we call feeling.
When you deliberately choose better thoughts, you raise your vibration. And when your vibration rises, you begin to attract more of what you truly want into your life.
Low vibrations feel heavy and draining—think shame, guilt, blame, anger, and hate. You can tell when you're there because... well, you feel terrible. High vibrations, on the other hand—like joy, love, peace, and gratitude—make you feel expansive and alive. You feel empowered, clear, and connected. One of the most powerful and reliable ways to shift from a low vibration to a high one is through deep, sincere gratitude.
Let me illustrate with a personal story.
I have a friend who has been a mentor to me for years. She’s someone I deeply admire—not just for her accomplishments, but for the way she shows up for life. I’ve watched her navigate tough seasons and somehow always land on her feet, even stronger and more radiant than before. Curious to know her secret, I asked her lots of questions.
Her answer?
“It’s all about gratitude. It’s all about gratitude.”
That was her response to almost everything I asked. I left her home turning that phrase over and over in my mind. If it really is all about gratitude, I thought, and I’m not experiencing everything I desire... maybe I don’t understand gratitude as well as I think I do.
Not long after that conversation, I got a chance to put this insight to the test.
We had just listed our Arizona home when the real estate bubble started to burst. The market was flooded with homes, and new ones were still being built faster than they were selling. I pulled out every manifesting tool I had—visualizations, affirmations, pictures of our home with a “sold” sign taped on them—you name it. But nothing was happening.
I told myself I was being grateful, but if I’m honest, I was stressed and frustrated. I kept looking at the market and watching prices fall week by week. And as we settled into our new home in Dallas, I knew we only had six months of mortgage assistance from my husband’s company. The clock was ticking.
As the six-month mark approached, we prayed fervently—and then a small miracle happened. His company extended the benefit. We were given more time.
And suddenly, I felt this wave of real gratitude.
I didn’t just say I was grateful—I lived it. For an entire week, I moved through my days in complete and genuine gratitude. No stress. No fear. Just trust. And by the end of that week, our realtor called—we had an offer. We closed less than a month later.
That experience taught me the difference between feeling grateful and living in gratitude. I realized that what I had called gratitude before was actually laced with frustration and impatience. But once I tapped into that “gratitude zone,” I knew I had discovered a whole new way to live.
Could our house have sold eventually without that shift? Sure. But I believe it would have come with a lot more worry and emotional wear and tear.
Now, do I still get stressed or frustrated sometimes? Of course—I’m human and still learning. But now I know how to find my way back to that higher vibration. When I slip out of the “gratitude zone,” I pick up my journal and start listing the things I’m profoundly grateful for. I write until I feel that shift. Sometimes I use meditation or quiet reflection to get there—find what works for you and do it often.
Because once you experience the peace, clarity, and joy of living in the “gratitude zone,” you won’t want to leave it either.
