Success via The Road Less Traveled
Nov 30, 2016
You are remarkable. Do you know that?
If you’re reading this, it means you’re someone who’s intentionally seeking growth. You’re not content to coast. You’re choosing to swim upstream against the current of mediocrity—and most people simply won’t bother to do that.
But no matter who you are or where you’ve come from, life’s road is full of bumps, potholes, and forks in the path. The good news? Every pothole you face holds a reward on the other side. Sometimes you just need a little help to see the bigger picture.
Even small shifts in how you think can dramatically change your reality—for the better, and often faster than you’d expect.
Yes, life gets hard. Stuff happens. And when it does, most people react without thinking. But not you. You’ve already proven that you’re someone who chooses your thoughts on purpose. It’s not always easy, but it is always worth it.
Here’s a quick check-in—an honest test of your current mindset:
Where does your mind live most of the time?
Is it stuck on what happened last week? Focused on today’s to-do list?
Maybe you think about next week—or next month?
What about a year from now? Ten years?
Each of these timeframes has its place. But in The Top 10 Distinctions Between Millionaires and the Middle Class, Keith Cameron Smith breaks it down like this:
“Very poor people think day-to-day. Poor people think week-to-week.
Middle-class people think month-to-month. Rich people think year-to-year.
And very rich people think decade-to-decade.”
So if you’re feeling discouraged, maybe it’s because your eyes are locked on the pothole right in front of you.
Look up. Think about where the road leads. What might life look like at the end of this path?
That’s where I come in—to help you lift your gaze.
Let me help you see the bigger picture. Let me help you see this challenge through a different lens. Because once you look past the pothole, you’ll realize there are more paths forward than you thought.
Every single day, you stand at a fork in the road.
Which direction will you take?
And if you feel too stuck to even see the options, ask yourself:
Will I keep agonizing over the pothole?
Or will I look up, take a deep breath, and start noticing the opportunities that are already ahead of me?
Choosing your thoughts intentionally—and aligning them with the seven laws of success—is one of the fastest, most powerful ways I know to gain a new perspective. It’s how you take the road less traveled. And as Robert Frost so beautifully said, that can make all the difference:
The Road Not Taken
(by Robert Frost)Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowthThen took the other as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the sameAnd both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet, knowing how way leads onto way
I doubted if I should ever come backI shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood
And I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference
Let me help you get a fresh perspective. Let me show you how to understand and apply the seven God-given laws of success—and just watch what unfolds.
