In 2006, when The Secret was released, I began my journey into understanding and applying the Law of Attraction. While the buzz around the book may have faded, my commitment hasn’t. I continue to study something related to it every single day.

As I listened to more people talk about the Law of Attraction, I was soon introduced to Dr. Thurman Fleet’s Stickperson diagram. What Dr. Fleet so powerfully illustrated with this simple figure was that our thoughts create our feelings, which drive our actions, and those actions are what shape our results.

The Stickperson concept had such a profound impact on me that I felt compelled to teach it. I reached out to Dr. Fleet’s Concept Therapy Institute, and using the very principles I’d been learning through the Law of Attraction, I manifested the money I needed to get certified.

So what exactly is the Law of Attraction? The clearest definition I’ve found is this: You attract into your life the things, circumstances, and conditions that correspond to the nature of your dominant and habitual thoughts and beliefs—in both your conscious and subconscious mind.

To consciously experience something in your life, you have to truly want it. Actually, it’s more accurate to say that you need it. I believe “need” is even stronger than desire—because with need, there’s a purpose behind it. And when the purpose is big enough, it becomes a necessity.

The key is learning how to transfer the energy of your thoughts from your conscious mind into your subconscious. That’s where lasting transformation happens. When the purpose is strong, the subconscious grabs hold of the idea, propels you into inspired action, and brings about the results that match that internal picture.

This process is also known as Creative Visualization. It’s a powerful technique for reprogramming your subconscious mind in a way that aligns with what you intentionally choose. By consistently visualizing your desired outcome with repetition and emotion, you train your mind to help you achieve your goals with greater ease.

When you study and apply the Laws of the Universe, you don’t have to force change—your life naturally begins to shift. Just watch and see.
