Debt Yo-Yo Be Gone

Breaking free from the debt yo-yo and stepping into lasting financial freedom can feel overwhelming. You’ve gotten out of debt before—maybe even more than once—only to find yourself back in the same exhausting cycle. My husband and I had been there too. After selling a few properties, we found ourselves with $100,000 in the bank. We thought we had finally broken the pattern for good. But within a year, it was gone. Not a new car, not a big investment—just gone. And before long, we were right back in debt again.

Grit and perseverance alone weren’t enough to break the cycle.

So why should this time be different?

Because now, you’ve learned the Universal Success principles—and this time, it’s about living them. This time, the change can be permanent.

Are you ready?

Start by deciding what you truly want. Picture your life with permanent financial freedom. Ask yourself the questions that bring clarity. How would you spend your time? Would you travel? If so, how—by plane, cruise, or in your own RV? What kind? Where would you go? What would you do once you got there? Would you serve a mission? What kind? For how long? Would you work on humanitarian projects? Which ones? Whose lives would you impact? Where would you live? What would your dream home look like? Would you have a second home? What kind of car would you drive—and what color?

Once you're clear, write it all down. God can’t bless what you don’t ask for—so ask. Include every detail. My husband and I once prayed for a motorhome. We listed everything we wanted… except one detail. We forgot to ask that it be in good repair. Be specific in your requests.

Now, read your goal several times a day. Imagine how it would feel to live in that abundant reality. Feel the gratitude as if it’s already happened. Thank God for the blessing. Pay attention to inspired ideas—those quiet sparks that guide your steps toward abundance. Remember: abundance wants you just as much as you want it. And it will come to you as you move toward it.

At first, your subconscious mind may resist. It might reject this new vision of abundance because it doesn’t match your old programming. But as you keep visualizing and affirming what you want, you’ll start to rewrite those old patterns and beliefs.

And then, without fail, something will show up to test you. Leslie Householder, author of The Jackrabbit Factor, calls it “the terror barrier.” It may come as doubt from a friend or loved one. It may look like fear, hesitation, or your own insecurities whispering that you can’t do it.

That’s when your mind needs to know you’re serious.

“Untested faith isn’t much faith at all.” —Jeffrey R. Holland

You’ve already proven your strength through your persistence and grit. Don’t let the terror barrier stop you. What you want is just on the other side. Stay focused. Stay positive. Refuse to let fear and doubt pull you off course. Be brave and keep moving forward.

It may take time, but know this: your financial freedom is coming.

You can succeed. You can live a life of abundance.

Put the principles into motion—and watch what happens.
