Must there be a struggle at all?
Feb 01, 2017
As explained in Phase 2 of The Mindset Fundamentals Ecourse, we live in a Universe governed by natural laws, including the Law of Rhythm. This means we'll experience both highs and lows, even when we’re focused and determined on our "rabbit hunt."
The good news is that the discomfort we face comes in waves. We’re given breaks along the way, and we can count on relatively better days to balance out the tougher ones.
It's much like the process of labor when bringing a child into the world: the contractions come in surges. Yet, nature ensures the mother gets moments of rest to regain strength.
But do we really need to struggle?
I’ve heard that some women have learned to give birth without pain or medication. (I was definitely not one of them!) I imagine their mental toughness was something they developed, and I doubt it could have been fully honed without experiencing some level of pain along the way.
The good news, though, is that the baby will come—whether there's pain or not. Experienced doctors and midwives, however, will tell you that resisting the pain only makes it worse.
The same is true when giving birth to a dream. There’s work to be done, but it hurts less when you don’t fight the rhythm.
Progress flows more smoothly when you relax in the face of hardships and setbacks (which, in truth, are only "setbacks" as much as labor pains are considered setbacks. In reality, each one brings you closer to the goal if you understand its purpose).
One thing is certain: the joy at the end far outweighs what’s required to get there. So, keep your eye on the prize and remember: NOBODY stays pregnant forever!
