This week I'm spotlighting a tender reunion between me and some dear friends and mentors (who helped us through the recession). Kirk and Kim Duncan invited me to talk with them about The Jackrabbit Factor, and it turned out to be a beautiful reminder of why the Rare Faith principles have mattered so much to us all.

They asked some unexpected questions, and I was a little worried that my answers were going to ruin their call.

But together we walked through the experiences, struggles, and miracles that led to the book's inception. The honest backstory, those early years of hardship, confusion, and the long stretch of “trying everything” before the pieces finally came together. 

We also talked about the sequel, Portal to Genius, and why it dives even deeper into how these principles play out in real life. 

Kirk and Kim also shared their own journey, and how applying these principles changed the trajectory of their lives. Kirk talked about visualization, expectation, and the internal work that cannot be rushed. We explored why doubt shows up, one key step that always strengthens faith, and why the thoughts we choose to ruminate on determine so much of what we experience.
